Denmark Diaries: Rainy Mood
Autumn is here, for good. When I woke up this morning, it was raining from the grey sky over Copenhagen. There was a bit of a draught from the window.
I think I’ve found my remedy for dealing with the gloomy autumn days in the north: Jazz.
The rain stayed. I got on my bike, I was wet by the time I got to university and only dried slowly in the morning.
By early evening, I’d had enough of all the grey. I went to the SMK, the Danish National Gallery close to the university. If there was no colour outside, then at least there should be colour in the paintings. And I was able to sit in front of my favourite painting for ten minutes without being disturbed.
In the evening, the streets were still wet from the rain.
